The subject of the work is to study the depths of method of electromagnetic sounding and induced polarization EMZVP. The reference object was selected is archaeological monument "Kurminskoe lake-2." Performed experimental and methodological work on technology EMZVP whose primary purpose was to test the possibility of using the hardware-software complex geoelectric "Mars" for solving engineering geophysics and perform archaeological research. Provides a comparison results with magnetic survey data. It was determined that the depth and resolution of the measurement is determined by the geometrical dimensions of the installation and the geoelectric properties of the section and may vary within wide limits. Resolution laterally defined step profile. Resolution decreases with depth logarithmic pitch axis depth ranging from 20 cm distance between the electrodes to 0.5 meters. As a result, was detected anomalies, presumably caused by magnetite veins.
